AIIMS 2020: Exam Date, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern and Syllabus

AIIMS full form is the All India Institute of Medical Sciences one of the excellent medical institutes in India. It has nine medical institutions located across different cities of India. AIIMS was formed under the Parliamentary Act of 1956. All India Institute of Medical Sciences conducts AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam for admission in the MBBS program offered by all 9 AIIMS (New Delhi, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Bhubaneswar, Guntur, Nagpur, Patna, and Raipur). This Exam is an undergraduate national level medical entrance examination conducted through CBT (computer-based test) in several Indian cities.

AIIMS Eligibility Criteria 2020

  • Candidate’s age should be at least 17 years as on 31st December 2020.
  • The candidates with 12th pass having subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible.
  • The candidates above 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWBD) aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects are eligible.
  • Only  Indian nationality candidate can apply. 
  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Non-Resident Indians (NRI) must submit the proof of registration as OCI/NRI in order to appear for the exam.
  • Foreign Nationals nominated by the government of India can only apply for AIIMS, New Delhi. Such candidates need not appear for the AIIMS 2020 entrance exam.

AIIMS MBBS 2020 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern is mentioned here which will convenient for you before entering the examination hall. By knowing the exam pattern, you can estimate how long you have to stick to one question of how the marking criteria are going to be.

 

  • Mode of Exam: Online (Computer Based Test )
  • Duration of Exam: 3 Hours and 30 Minutes
  • Number of Questions: 200
  • Type of Questions: Objective Type
  • Marking Scheme: Every correct answer will get a score of 1 Mark. There will be 1/3 negative marking in case of an incorrect answer.
  • Language of Questions: Questions will be both Hindi and English language.
  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Knowledge and Aptitude & Logical Thinking.
