Students who are interested in the medical field (besides becoming a doctor) can take this course after completing 12th grade (PCM / B). B.  Pharma Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor Pharmacy Pharmacy - B Pharmacy course instructs the candidate to pass 10 + 2 to pass Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics [PCM] or Physics, Chemistry, Biology [PCB]. Must also have passed Biology / Mathematics as a subject with at least 50% marks in Pre-University / 10 + 2 or Diploma in Pharmacy [D. Pharma]. For some institutions, B Pharmacy eligibility criteria will be based on entrance exams.

There is a direct alternative to the second year Bachelor Pharma Pharmacy (Lateral Entry). Criteria for admission Achieve 50% of the total marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) or Mathematics equivalent in the first two years of passing the Pharmacy Exam in HSC. The deduction for different courses varies from institution to institution. Some states require you to take a pharmacy entrance exam in order to be eligible for the course.

B. Pharma Admission Process:

Applicants for a B Pharmacy [B Pharm] degree must complete a standard method of validation through entrance examinations held at various universities and colleges. The selected candidates then must go through a separate round of group discussions in which they must demonstrate their public speaking skills and general knowledge of pharmacy. This is followed by admission and re-round where applicants will be allowed to choose a course.

To enroll in the Pharmacy course, students must complete the 10 + 2 course and apply for the National or State Pharmacy Entrance Exam. The National Entrance Exam is the Pharmacy Graduate Qualification Exam (GPAT 2020). You can also apply for state-level exams like TS EAMCET 2020, AP EAMCET 2020, BCECE 2020, WBJEE 2020, etc.

Private and public universities conduct various admission exams for various courses in pharmacy for graduate and postgraduate students. B. Pharmacy Exam Details

 

  • Students who can provide an Attendance Certificate from HOD stating that their attendance is in 80% of the classes which are placed separately in both theoretical and practical subjects are eligible for the examination.

  • The theory test will be for 3 hours while the practical test will be for 4 hours.

  • The practical exam will also include the Viva exam.

  • 25 marks for each theory and 25 marks for each practical subject will be allotted as session marks.

  • A minimum of 3 regular exams are held each year and the entire session of the two highest performances will be counted as points.

  • Candidates who fail in a subject theory or practical examination will be allowed to re-sit the examination.

  • Students have to reserve at least 50% marks in each subject for both theory and practical exams.

  • Students who get 60% marks in the B. Pharma course will be declared to have passed in first class. However, students who get 75% or more marks will be declared to pass the examination with full margin.

  • Students are required to pass all subjects in the annual examination for promotion till next year.
