Indian Coast Guard Innovative Eligibility Criteria

These are the eligibility criteria for Indian Coast Guard Exam Navik:

Age: Applicants between the ages of 18 and 22 are eligible to apply for the Indian Coast Guard Exam Navik program. According to the legal notice, candidates must be born between April 1, 1999 and March 31, 2003. SC / ST and OBC candidates will receive an age discount of 5 years and 3 years respectively.

Educational Qualifications: Applicants who achieve a minimum of 50% of 10 + 2 scores in math and physics on a recognized board are eligible to apply. A 5% relaxation in minimum grades will be granted to candidates belonging to the SC / ST category and those with outstanding athletic performance at the National Open / Interstate National Championship.

  • Height: at least 157 cm.
  • Chest: Should be in proportion. Minimum extension 5 cm
  • Weight: proportional to height and age + 10 percent.
  • Hearing: Normal
  • Visual standard: 6/36 (best eye) and 6/36 (worst eye)

Applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree from any recognized university with a minimum grade of 60% in aggregate (e.g., 1st semester to 8th semester for BE / B technical courses, or 1st to final year for bachelor's degree candidates, where applicable)

Mathematics and physics as subjects up to middle or XII grade from 10 + 2 + 3scheme education or equivalent with a sum of 60% in mathematics and physics. {Applicants who are not proficient in physics and mathematics at the 10 + 2 (Intermediate) level or equivalent are not eligible for General Duty (GD)}.

Age Limit:  Born between 01 Jul 1996 to 30 Jun 2000 (Both dates inclusive).

Indian Coast Guard 2021 Selection Process:

Stage -I

(a) Compilation of a short list of applications. The shortlisting criteria will be based on a higher percentage of qualification exam scores, and the qualification cutoff for a particular center could be increased by more than 55% if more applications with a higher percentage are received.

(b) Pre-selection. Shortlisted candidates will be called for pre-screening at the specified date and time, which will consist of an IQ / Cognitive Ability Test and a Perception and Image Discussion Test (PP & DT). The ability test is conducted in English only and will be objective.

Stage –II.

Final selection:

The pre-selected candidates will be invited for the final selection. The date and venue of the Final Selection Panel (FSB) will be posted on the Indian Coast Guard recruitment 2019 website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in. The final selection will consist of a psychological test, a group assignment and an interview (personality test). All documents / certificates verified during the PSB must also be presented in originals during the FSB.

According to an official notice from Indian Coast Guard Navik, the governing body is about to sort out the application center. Applicants will be shortlisted for the written examination based on their 10 + 2 scores. A written exam

  • The exam will be of an objective type and questions will be asked in MCQ format.
  • The exam will cover subjects such as basic English, math, physics, basic chemistry, reasoning, current affairs, and quantitative ability.

  • Those who pass the written test will be asked to take a physical fitness test (PFT).

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

  • The PFT will be held over two days for candidates who score on the written exam.
  • Applicants with disabilities are not allowed to take the exam.
  • The PFT will have the following parameters:
  • 6 km run: 7 minutes.
  • 20 squats (Uthak Baythak).
  • 10 pushups
  • Applicants must wear comfortable sports equipment during the PFT such as shoes, T-shirt, pants, etc.

Medical checkup
