What is the NDA Exam? Eligibility Criteria, Admit Card
The NDA exam is conducted under the presence of UPSC for the admission to Air Force, Army, and Navy. The exam is a gateway for those candidates who are looking to join Defence Forces such as the Navy, Air Force, and Army. It is a national-level exam and conducted two times in a year. Both NDA I and NDA II exams help those candidates who want to make their career in Defence Services. National Defence Academy examination is a two-step process where a candidate needs to take their exam and then they need to qualify for the personal interview. The personal interview or personal testing was conducted by the SSB ( Service Selection Board).
Notification of NDA 2021 Exam
The UPSC releases the notification for the NDA exam, every year. On June 6, 2020, the UPSC commission was released the notification for the exam NDA I and NDA II exam. The online application form was released on 6 July 2020. The UPSE has also released 413 vacancies in National Defence Academy where 208 vacancies for Army, 120 vacancies for Air Force, 43 vacancies for Naval Academy, and 42 vacancies for the Navy.
Application Form for NDA 2020
NDA registration process begins with the first step of the selection process. After checking all the important information in the NDA notification status then candidates can start their registration for the exam. The NDA application form available on the official website of the UPSC. To fill the application form, a candidate needs to follow some steps:
Candidates first need to visit the UPSC official website.
On the official website, candidates need to click on the “Apply Online” tab.
After clicking on the tab, applicants need to select the “Online Application Form For Various Examination” option of UPSC.
In step four, applicants can start the NDA registration process of Part- I.
A form will open and candidate needs to fill their correct details like name, father’s name, Email address, Contact number, address, etc.
After filling in all the information candidates need to pay the application fee for the NDA exam.
In the part- II application form process, a candidate needs to upload their signature and photograph.
Before to click on submitting the exam, the candidate to click on Agree to the declaration.

Eligibility Criteria For NDA Exam 2020
A candidate must be either under the Citizen of India/ Nepal/Bhutan.
For the Tibetan refugee candidates who came from the other countries in India before the date of 1 January 1962 then they with the intention of permanently settling down in India.
A candidate of Indian origin who migrated from the other countries like Burma, Pakistan, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, East African, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling down in India.
If a candidate wants to apply for National Defence Academy & Naval Academy then they must be physically and mentally fit. A huge range of candidates failed to qualify in NDA
test. So it is advised for the candidates that they must be medically examined before applying for the exam.
Aspirants are suggested to rectify some minor defects/ ailments like Wax (ears), Deviated septum, Hydrocele/Phimosis, Overweight/Underweight, beneath Sized Chest, Piles, rubor, and distention.
Height And Weight customary Standard
The minimum height will required to qualify the exam is 157 cms (162.5 cms for Air Force). The minimum height is relaxed by five cms for Gorkhas and people happy to the hills of North-Eastern regions of Bharat, Garhwal, and Kumaon. However, the minimum height is reduced by a pair of cms for the candidate's happiness to Lakshadweep. The height and weight criteria will be different for every age candidate in both the Air force as well as in Navy.
For candidates who are pilots in the Air Force then there are special height and weight criteria.
Aspirants who wish to apply for the NDA exam then need to be advised that they should be in good physical condition. Some important points for the physical condition are as follows:
The candidate must have daily skipping practice.
Daily Pushups and sit-ups i.e. they at least need 20 pushups and sit-ups.
Need Running 2.4 km in 15 minutes.
Aspirants need rope climbing three to four meters.
They also have Chin-ups, at least 08 chin-ups.
Educational Qualifications for NDA 2020
For Army candidates
Aspirants must have intermediate or 10+2 degree education from a recognized university or Board for the Army NDA exam.
Candidates also must have a 12th education degree or equivalent degree in Mathematics and Physics. The exam also must be conducted by a state education university or a board.
Aspirants who are appearing for class 12th under an equivalent examination then they can apply for this exam. These candidates also qualify for the SSB interview but due to some reasons, they could not produce their 10+2 certificate at the time of the SSB interview they should forward their certificate with self-attested photocopies.
Aspirants who are appearing in class 11th exam then they are not eligible for the exam.
Applicants who have still qualify in the intermediate class then they are also allowed to appear for this exam they should note that it is a special concession given to those candidates. To appear for the exam candidate needs to submit their passing proof of the 12th class by the prescribed date of the UPSC from the last date.
Aspirants are debarred by the ministry of defense and those who are holding any type of commission in any defence services then they shall not be eligible for admission, because their application form will be canceled from the UPSC.
For unmarried male candidates who are born not earlier than the date 2 July 2000 and not later than the date 1 July 2003 are eligible for the exam.
Candidates required a minimum age of 15.7 years to apply for the exam and 16 years required for the course.
The maximum age is required 18.7 years for the exam.

Result and Answer Key of NDA Exam 2020
Aspirants who have appeared for the written exam on 6 September then they can check their NDA exam result from the official website. Applicants should download their results for future reference. The UPSC has released the answer key on the official website as well as upsc.gov.in for NDA and NA II 2019. In the answer, the key candidate can check their answer key with question paper. On 14 September 2020, the commission has released the final results for NDA II. There were 662candidates shortlisted for the final round.
Written Exam for UPSC NDA and NA I 2020
The UPSC conducts NDA & NA exam every year. According to the latest notification of UPSC comission, both the exams conducted on 6 the date of 6 September 2020. The selection process will consist of two stages one is a written exam second is SSB Interview. In the exam, there are 120 questions for Mathematics, and the duration of the exam will 2 hours & 30 minutes. 300 marsk are required for the question paper. Another is the General Ability test and the questions are in this paper 120. The time duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes for this exam. 600 is the total marks of the question paper.
Aspirants should make sure about the negative marking because there is one-third of marks will be cut for the wrong answer.

The registration for NDA I will start from 30th December 2020 and for the NDA II exam from 9th June 2021. The UPSC commission released NDA I exam will release on the date of 18th April 2021, and For exam NDA II 5th September 2021.
