The Commission is expected to announce the notice for SSC JE 2020 on August 4, 2020. Candidates seeking to take other commission exams can refer to the Detailed SSC Notice for relevant details.

SSC JE Exam Notification Updates:

SSC published a notice stating that candidates for the Junior Engineer exam, 2019, can modify their exam centers from September 26 to September 29, 2020. Applicants must log in through their 'Registration number and password at the Commission's website (https: // The option to change the SSC JE Test Center will be available in the Candidate Control Panel under the "Latest Notifications" tab from September 26th. The Personnel Selection Commission has published the SSC JE Option Form for position preference where candidates can indicate their option, in order of preference for various SSC JE positions.

SSC JE Exam Notification

The Personnel Selection Commission published the Official Notice SSC JE 2019 to recruit new engineering graduates for the position of Junior Engineers (Contracts and Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Quantity Surveying). According to the notification, the last date to apply for the position closed on September 12, 2019. The SSC JE salary for the Group 'B' (unpublished) position at Level 6 is Rs 35400-112400 / - as per the Seventh Central Payments Commission.

SSC JE Application Fee:

Candidates aspiring to sit for the SSC JE exam must pay an application fee of Rs 100 / - (Rs. One hundred only) through any of the following payment modes such as SBI Challan / Net Banking, BHIM UPI, credit cards credit or debit, etc. However, it is interesting to note that female candidates belonging to SC / ST, People with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-military are eligible for reservation and are exempt from paying fees.

Candidates should note that there is a negative score of 0.25 points for each incorrect answer on the SSC JE I-Test. SSC JE 2020 Curriculum

The SSC JE 2020 syllabus consists mainly of two articles i.e Paper-I and Paper-II. The SSC JE Paper-I includes questions of an objective type and the SSC JE Paper-II is descriptive.

SSC JE Syllabus for Paper-II: This article consists of three parts divided into basic subjects such as:

  • Part-A (Civil and structural engineering): Includes topics such as Construction Materials, Topography, Estimation, Costing and Valuation, Concrete Technology, Irrigation Engineering, RCC Design, Hydraulics, etc.

Educational Qualifications: Eligible candidates must have the essential educational qualification for positions relevant to their degree. They must have passed the Matriculation exam or any equivalent qualification from a recognized Board.

Nationality - Candidates who are citizens of the countries listed below are also eligible to take the exam, as per the SSC Junior Engineer Notice 2019:

Applicants who are taking the SSC JE exam for 2020 can download the SSC JE admit card from the official SSC website ( They should bring it to the test center along with a passport-size photo attached on the day of the scheduled test. When downloading the SSC Junior Engineer Admission Card from the relevant website, they need to click on the SSC JE Admission Card link and enter the relevant credentials such as registration number and date of birth (DOB). Applicants are advised to keep a hard copy of the document for future reference.

Launch of the SSC JE   Card Paper I 2019-20. The Commission has released the SSC JE Admit Card 2019 to take the SSC Junior Engineer exam from March 30 to April 2, 2020. Candidates can download the SSC Junior Engineer Admit Card from the official website or SSC regional websites.

The SSC JE cut is decided by the Personnel Selection Commission (SSC). For the SSC JE exam, the SSC would post the cut / merit list along with the results on the official SSC website Applicants must also go through the SSC Cut Off of other exams to analyze the trend, this will help develop a strategy for a better preparation plan. The SSC publishes two different cut marks for Paper-I and Paper-II each. The result of the SSC JE Paper-II exam conducted on December 29, 2019, will be declared soon.
