IBPS SO 2020 Eligibility Criteria

IBPS has specified certain eligibility criteria for applicants to be presented for IBPS SO 2020. These criteria are detailed below:

Nationality / Citizenship: According to the IBPS SO Notice, an applicant must have Indian citizenship or be a national of Nepal / Bhutan. Apart from that, candidates who are Tibetan refugees and arrived in India before January 1, 1962 are also eligible. Also, those who are of Indian origin and have emigrated from Pakistan / Burma / Sri Lanka / Kenya / Uganda / the United Republic of Tanzania / Zambia / Malawi / Zaire / Ethiopia / Vietnam to India forever can also sit for the exam.

Age Limit: Applicants must be between 20 and 30 years old as of November 1, 2020

IT Officer (Scale I)

BTech in Computer Science/ Applications, IT, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications, Electronics & Communication or Electronics & Instrumentation Or Master's degree in the above-mentioned field Or Graduate who has passed DOEACC ‘B’ level

Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I)

4-year degree (graduation) in Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Technology, Agricultural Engineering or corresponding fields.

RajbhashaAdhikari (Scale I)

Master's degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the graduation level Or, Master's degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at the graduation level

Law Officer (Scale I)

Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) (The person should be enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council)

HR/ Personnel Officer (Scale I)

Graduation with 2-years full-time PG degree or diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, HR, HRD, Social Work or Labor Law.

Marketing Officer (Scale I)

Graduation with a 2-year full-time degree in MMS (Marketing), MBA (Marketing), PGDBA, PGDBM, PGPM or PGDM with a specialization in Marketing.

How to apply online for IBPS SO 2020?

Candidates who will be applying for IBPS SO this year must complete the online registration process. Follow the steps mentioned below to complete the registration process:

Step 1: Register on the IBPS website

  • Go to the official IBPS website, ibps.in and click on the link at the top of the page: "Click here to order CRP SPL X online."
  • After clicking on it, a registration page will open.
  • Click on the "New Registration" tab to begin your registration process.
  • To register, please provide all the basic information such as name, address, email ID, mobile phone number, date of birth and gender, etc.
  • After registration is complete, a provisional registration number and password will be generated.
  • Candidates should keep them securely, as they will be used as login credentials in the future.

Step 2: fill in the details

  • After successfully uploading the above-mentioned documents, candidates must enter their details in the next section.
  • Here they should mention their educational grade, posting preferences, etc.
  • After the candidates will see a preview option, they need to check all the details, as after the final submission, there is no option to re-edit the application form.
  • After the preview, candidates must click on the final submission to upload their application.
  • The application will be accepted by IBPS only after confirmation of payment.

Step 3: paying the IBPS SO application fee

  • Payment must be made ONLY in ONLINE mode.      
  • There are several options available for online payment; they can pay with debit cards (RuPay / Visa / Master Card / Maestro), credit cards, Internet banking, IMPS, cash cards / mobile wallets.

  • IBPS SO call letter is the main document needed to get entry to the exam centre, without a printed copy of call letter no candidate will be allowed inside the exam halls.
