IIM Amritsar Admission Criteria 2021 - Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar has opened the application form in online mode on its official site. Likewise, the authority has released the admission criteria for admission to the PGP course for the academic year 2021-2023. The IIM Amritsar 2021 admission criteria will comprise two stages. Candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria prescribed in this article to be admitted to IIM Amritsar. First, candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in CAT. In the second stage, the shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the personal interview and the written skill test only if they meet the minimum cut-off criteria prescribed based on CAT 2020. The Amritsar Indian Institute of Management (IIM) admission criteria for the 2021-23 MBA batch does not include the Writing Ability Test (WAT). The minimum CAT limit required to be eligible to participate in the admissions process this year is the 85th percentile (overall category), same as last year.IIM Amritsar Admission Criteria 2021-23, will only conduct a personal interview (PI). In 2020, the institute removed WAT from the screening procedure due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Also for the next session, WAT remains suspended.

IIM Amritsar 2021 Admission Criteria - Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the IIM Amritsar MBA must meet the followingIIM Amritsar Admission Criteria 2021-23:

  • Candidates must have a graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks (5% relaxation will be given to candidates belonging to the reserved category) in aggregate CGPA or equivalent.
  • The conversion of CGPA or grades into percentages will be followed according to the regulations of the university / institute from which the candidate graduated. In case the institute / university does not provide any conversion scheme, the IIM Amritsar will obtain the equivalence by dividing the CGPA obtained by the maximum CGPA and multiplying the result by 100.
  • Applicants who take the final exam of the qualifying exam can also apply as long as they present the required documents in the stipulated time.

IIM Amritsar Admission Criteria: PI Shortlisting 2021

IIM Amritsar shortlisting commenced after the declaration of CAT 2020 result. The candidates who shall have selected IIM Amritsar as preferred institute for admission in the CAT application form will be eligible to fill the shortlisting form (to be made available on the institute website) for participation in PI round.

Candidates selected for the PI round will be informed through email. They will be required to participate in the PI round on a scheduled date. The date and venue of PI will be shared in the same email.

IIM Amritsar 2021 Admission and Shortlist Criteria: Important Points

  • Work experience will weigh 5 percent. The duration of the experience considered will be until April 30 of that year. Work experience of less than 6 months is not valid for this score.
  • An additional 5% qualification will be awarded to candidates who are not engineers or women during the final shortlist.
  • The final selection list will be prepared at the end of May, after which an offer of admission will be made to the selected student.
  • Successful candidates will be required to accept the offer of admission by submitting an offer acceptance form duly completed with Rs 50,000 as an offer acceptance fee (refundable).
  • A limited number of candidates will be kept on the waiting list. Offers to candidates on the waiting list will depend on the number of candidates who do not accept offers on the initial list.
