Indian Air Force X, Y Group Online Form 2021 Eligibility

Educational Criteria

The educational criteria for Indian Air Force X, Group Y Recruitment 2021are as mentioned below.

Group X (Except Education Instructor Trades 

  • Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
  • Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering in any stream from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks
    in aggregate as per diploma final year mark sheet and 50% marks in English in diploma.

Group Y ’ (Except IAF(S) and Musician Trades)

  • Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central / State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
  • Passed two years vocational course with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course.

Group Y Medical Assistant Trade

  • Passed 10+2/Intermediate/ equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

 

Age limit (as of 01/22/2021)

Candidates who share their date of birth from January 16, 2001 to December 29, 2004 will be considered for this recruitment.In the event that a candidate passes all stages of the selection procedure, the age limit above the date of registration is 21 years.

Physical fitness test

There will be a 1.6 km race that will be completed in 06 minutes and 30 seconds. Candidates must also complete 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 20 squats within the stipulated time to qualify for the physical fitness test.

Adaptability Test-1 (for Group 'X' and Group 'Y' trades):

All candidates who pass the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) must take the Adaptability Test-I (objective type written test) which is to assess a candidate's suitability for employment at the IAF that involves deployment to varied geographical terrain, weather and operational conditions.

Adaptability Test - 2 (for Group "X" and Group "Y" trades)

All candidates who pass the Adaptability Test - I will have to take the Adaptability Test - II according to current policy. The Adaptability Test II consists of selecting candidates who can adapt to the Indian Air Force environment and can adapt to the military lifestyle.

Medical Fitness Test

(i) Height

  • Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cms
  • Minimum acceptable height for IAF(P) trade – 165 Cms (For NE and Hill States) 175 Cms (For other States)
  • Minimum acceptable height for Auto Tech trade -162.5 Cms (For NE and Hill States) 165 Cms (For other States)

Note: Candidates from NE and Hill states includes Gorkhas, Kumaonis, Garhwalis, Assamese and those belonging to the states of Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Sikkim and hilly areas of Uttaranchal.

(ii) Chest

The minimum range of expansion: 5 cm

iii) Weight

Proportionate to height and age. However, the minimum weight of 55 Kg required for Operations Assistant (ATS) Trade only.

(iv) Corneal Surgery

(PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable.

(v) Hearing

The candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.

(vi) Dental

Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and minimum 14 dental points.

(vii) General Health

The candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments. The candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

Application fees for the IAF Group X, Y 2021 exam

The candidate must pay the examination fee of Rs 250 / - while registering for the online examination. Payment can be made by Debit Cards / Credit Cards / Internet Banking through the payment gateway. The exam fee can also be paid by Challan payment at any Axis Bank branch.

  • A new page will appear to enter your mobile number. and email to register.
  • An OTP will be sent to your mobile number. and email.
  • Click "Submit".
  • A login ID and password will be sent to your registered phone number. and email identification.
  • Log in with the registration number and password. Select the publication.
  • Fill in other details such as educational qualifications, etc., depending on the candidate's educational qualification.
  • Pay the exam fee as applicable, online by credit/debit card or internet banking
  • Candidates must upload their scanned color photograph and signature (in English or Hindi) in JPEG format.
  • Log in with the registration number and password at the link for "UPLOAD" and then upload the file/scan
  • Upload all required certificates
  • Send the application. Print the receipt for the records.

IAF Group X and Y salary 2021

During training, a stipend of Rs. 14,600 / - will be paid per month. Upon completion of training, initial gross emoluments with the minimum pay scale, including Military Service Pay (MSP), Group "X" Pay (applicable only for Group "X" Trades), and pacing allowance (DA) will be as follows:

  1. Trades of Group "X" (Except the Trade in Education Instructors). Rs 33,100 / - per month plus the contribution allowance (as applicable) which, in subsequent years, may increase according to the individual's career progression.
  2. Group "Y" [Except IAF (S) and Trades of musicians]. Rs. 26,900 / - per month plus the social services allowance (as applicable) which, in subsequent years, may increase depending on the individual's career progression.
