Eligibility Criteria


Age limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not be more than 31 years of age as on 1st July 2020.


Educational Qualification: Applicant should have passed 10th class plus or ITI from any institute recognized by the National Council of Vocational training (NCVT)/ State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Pattern and Syllabus Of RRB Group D


To get elected in Group D candidate has to go through the following stages

  • Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Document Verification
  • Medical Fitness test


CBT Latest Exam Pattern For RRB Group D


There will be 100 objective type questions (class 10th standard) and the duration of the exam is ninety minutes for general category candidates.

Furthermore, there will be a negative marking scheme for the exam. One third (?) mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

 Physical Efficiency Test (PET)


Physical Efficiency Test is for that candidate who will qualify for the CBT exam. There are different criteria for males and females.

Male Candidates

  • Male candidate has to lift &carry weight of 35 kg from 100 meters distance within 2 minutes time in one chance without keeping the weight down.
  • He has to run 1000 meters in four minutes and 15 seconds in one chance only.

Female Candidates

  • A female candidate has to lift and carry twenty kilograms of weight for a distance of 100 meters in two minutes in one chance only without keeping the weight down.
  • She has to run 1000 meters in five minutes and forty seconds in one chance only.

Document verification and Medical Fitness Test


Candidates, who are able to qualify PET, are called for Document Verification (DV) process. It is always suggested to provide correct information if in case any false information is identified immediately the candidature will get canceled.


Medical Fitness Test conducted by the Railway Administration to do appointment on various posts in the Railways. Under different categories, there are different medical requirements which are stated below:
