The SBI invites to submit an application for the recruitment of Specialist Officers (SO) according to the vacancy in different departments. Typically, recruitment is carried out for managerial positions, however notifications are also sent for recruitment at higher levels. Hiring is currently underway for various positions. Recruitment is generally carried out in two phases, online exam and personal interview, however, in many cases recruitment is done by shortlisting candidates followed by a personal interview.

BE (Fire) from National Fire Service College (NFSC), Nagpur OR  B.Tech (Safety & Fire Engineering)/ B.Tech (Fire Technology & Safety Engineering)/ B.Sc. (Fire) from UGC recognised university/ AICTE approved institution.

Deputy Manager (Internal Audit)

Chartered Accountancy (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with a minimum 1 years post qualification experience in/with a Chartered Accountant firm engaged in statutory / Internal / Concurrent Audit of Banks.

Network Specialist

First Division (minimum 60% marks) in Master's Degree (full time) in any stream from any recognised University along with compulsory certification from listed institutions.

Security Analyst

BE / BTech (in Computer Science & Engineering/ Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics & Communications) OR MCA/ MSc (Computer Science)/ MSc(IT) from recognized university.

Manager Credit Procedure

Eligible candidates must apply online for the OSE SO position. The online application process includes several stages, find the step-by-step guidelines below:


Candidates must register themselves for recruitment first. Registration can be done through the official SBI website, OR There is a registration link available in the racing section of the official website. SBI SO has different categories, candidates must find the exact category they want to apply for. Click "Apply online" to start the SBI SO application. After successful registration, each candidate will receive a unique registration number and password. Candidates must not lose them.

SBI SO 2020 Marking Scheme

For part 1 of the question paper which includes Reasoning, English or Quantitative sections, each question will be of one mark; candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer. Negative marking scheme will be there, 0.25 Or ¼ mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. For the professional knowledge section, each question will 2 marks and 0.5 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

SBI SO Salary

Finally, the successful candidates will get a salary in the range of Rs 42,020 to Rs 51,490 along with DA, HRA, CCA, PF, Contributory Pension Fund, LFC, Medical Center, etc. depending on the prescribed format.
