
TISS National Entrance Test or TISSNET exam is a nationwide entrance examination conducted by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai for admission to its graduate courses. TISS offers up to 53 master's programs at its campuses in Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, and elsewhere. The master's programs offered at TISS campuses are on par with the management programs offered by the best MBA universities in India. The entrance exam is conducted online and the exam consists of questions on English Proficiency, Mathematical Skills and Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness. The TISSNET examdates have been announced on November 12, and the exam will take place on February 20, 2021. Although the application process was scheduled to begin from November 20 at 5 p.m. onwards, has been postponed and has started as of December 3. The latest application date is January 15, 2021.

TISSNET Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to appear in the TISSNET 2021 exam are detailed below:
Academic qualification
- The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Candidates who will complete their final year of bachelor's / equivalent in June 2021 can also apply
- Candidates pursuing a 3-year bachelor's degree must have passed all 4 semesters by completing the TISSNET application form, while those pursuing a four-year bachelor's degree must have passed all subjects up to the sixth semester.
- Shortlisted candidates must present original certificates and a grade sheet on the date of the personal interview.
- Those who are in the final year of the degree program must submit report cards from all previous semesters.
Age limit
There is no set age limit to appear on the TISSNET 2021 exam.
Work experience
Candidates applying for the Master of Arts in (Organizational Development, Change and Leadership) must have at least 2 years of work experience in any field (after graduation)

Step 2: Download the TISSNET 2021 Admission Card
Candidates who successfully register for the exam will receive their TISSNET admission cards. It can be downloaded from the official TISS website. Candidates should remember that the admission card is an important document that must be brought to the exam room.
Step 3: Take the TISSNET 2021 exam
Candidates must take the entrance test on the scheduled date. The duration of the exam is one hour and 40 minutes, and examinees will be asked questions based on proficiency in English, mathematics and logical reasoning and general knowledge.
Step 4: Check the result of TISSNET 2021
The TISSNET result will be provisionally declared in the fourth week of February on the official TISS website. Candidates can view their scorecards by entering their user ID and password.
Step 4: Pre-Interview Test / Group Discussion (GD)
Candidates who pass the TISSNET exam are summoned for the pre-interview test (PIT) / group discussion round. The varsity team may take the pre-interview test in the form of a written test or group discussion. The PIT duration is generally 35 to 40 minutes. For some courses, the PIT consists of two sections: essay writing and a short case study with questions based on it.
Step 5: Personal Interview (PI)
Candidates who pass the PIT / GD round are summoned for the personal interview. Here, candidates are asked questions about their previous academic history, the program they have applied to, and their future plans.

English Proficiency or Verbal Ability: This section contains questions on Verbal Comprehension and Verbal Ability (VA). These are certain areas you should focus on: fill in the blanks with the correct word, antonyms, synonyms, homophones, choose the strange word, sentence correction, idioms, analogies, and acronyms. In the case of reading comprehension (RC), you must know the purpose of the passage, the assumption and the supporting statements, learn to make inferences and conclusions. You must learn to identify the author's point of view, determine the strength or weakness of arguments, and identify flaws or discrepancies in logic.
General Knowledge / General Awareness or Social Sensitivity: This section contains questions on current affairs, history, meanings of terms, recent social problems, activities and social movements. You are expected to know about environment, ecology, sports, entertainment, work, politics, economics, etc. You must have extensive knowledge in topics such as health, media, education, ICT, literature, art, governance, law, international. politics and news.
Mathematics and logical reasoning: This section has questions about basic mathematics, data interpretation (DI), and logical reasoning. We will provide you with the details of the topics to cover for each subsection.
Math: Review your basics of algebra, profit and loss, percent, ratio and proportion, HCF and LCM, average, square root, time and distance, BODMAS, mixtures and claims, as well as basic geometry.
Data Interpretation (DI) - Learn how to interpret bar charts, pie charts, uppercase and lowercase letters, line charts, tables, double pie charts, and multiple charts. You must also have knowledge of data comparison.
Logical Reasoning - Here you are expected to solve questions about number series, alphabetical series, logical connectivity, Venn diagrams, puzzles, cubes, and statement conclusion. You are expected to pay attention to detail when solving the questions in this section. Assumptions, arguments, and family trees will also be questioned.

TISSNET 2021 Advisory Process
The written national entrance exam is only the first round of selection at TISS. You must also appear for the Pre-Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds to finally qualify. These admissions rounds will be held separately for each TISS campus. Only after all these rounds are completed will the TISS authorities draw up the final selection list.
